Dr Leong Ng, Medical Oncologist, has sought advice from Jas Sekhon of Goldman Lawyers, suggesting that a class action may be possible against Professional Indemnity Insurers who have failed to provide health practitioners appropriate support against AHPRA.
From my experience, as well as discussions with many affected health practitioners, there appears to be a strong theme of lack of appropriate support by insurers when dealing with AHPRA.
If you feel that your insurer has failed you in such circumstances kindly advise me, together with a brief description of your concerns, which I will forward to Dr Ng who is currently co-ordinating a possible Class Action with Mr Sekhon.
